Pope Francis has announced that Catholic Priests can bless Same-Sex couples.
This is a major shift in the policy of the Catholic Church towards gay people.
In a statement released today it was stated that couples did not have to be 'morally perfect' to receive a blessing.
Previously the Catholic Church had refused to bless Same-Sex couples on the grounds that God could not bless sin.
But I know that I have God's blessing as a gay man.
And so homosexuality cannot be a sin.
God loves me as a sexually active gay man.
There is no condemnation.
And no sin.
So do not believe those who say that homosexuality is sinful and God hates you.
It is not true.
God loves you.
And He will welcome you in Heaven when you die.
