We live in a culture which is insular, materialistic, impersonal, and mercenary.....
Our entertainment is dark, violent, and shallow.....
We are distracted and disturbed.
We suffer.
This is because our culture neglects our humanity.
And what is at the heart of our humanity but love.
Love is the only thing that can save us.
We need to develop a culture of love.
A culture in which love is the highest value.
A culture that cultivates love in all times and places.
A culture that is human.
I pray for this.
