How Long?

How long has the Church been reinforcing the rich and powerful?

The Church has traditionally been a part of the conservative establishment.

Ever since Constantine* they have supported the ruling class.

And they have adopted the carrot and stick approach of the elite as heaven and hell to keep the masses in line.

This affords them the privileges of the rich.

And it has been like this since the days of the Pharaohs.

But Jesus said that the way of the world is evil.

And that the world hated him.

Jesus mission was to bring good news to the poor.

Not power to the rich.

The conservative Christian leadership preaches sin, judgement, punishment, and obedience to authority.

And they weaponize the Bible.

Thus usurping the power of God for themselves.

    

But this is a lie.

God is with the poor and the powerless.

Not the power elite.

He is non-violent, tolerant, compassionate, and forgiving.

His Love is steadfast and reliable.

And His Salvation is Eternal.
