A New Interpretation.

When you see that Satanism hijacked the peace movement of the 1960s it is not sufficient to just switch to the Religious Right.

Because the Religious Right is the equivalent of the Priests and Pharisees in the story of Jesus.

Jesus called them "blind guides". (Matthew 15;14)

They do not know God, nor do they reflect His nature.

They are political.

And their politics is driven by money.

So if you return to the Bible as a spiritual guide you must reinterpret the scriptures in view of the times and context of each passage.

This is the new interpretation that forms the basis of Progressive Christianity.

It is realistic, non-violent, merciful, and gracious.

And it will inform the religion of the future.

The Seed and The Sower.

In the Parable of The Seed and The Sower a man goes out to sow his seed and some fell on the path and the birds ate it up, some fell on rocks and it withered, some fell among thorns and they choked it.....But some fell on good soil and it flourished.

This is what happens with the Word of God.

Some is soon picked off, some has no roots, some are choked by the cares and riches and pleasures of this world.....But some hold fast in a good and honest heart and bear fruit with patient endurance.

(Luke 8:5-15)

The Kingdom of God.

What are the values of the Kingdom of God?

The values of the Kingdom of God are set out in the Beatitudes. (Matthew 5:3-11)

Justice, comfort, non-violence, righteousness, mercy, pure love, peacemaking. and endurance.

These things are blessed.

And they lead to the Kingdom of Heaven.

Values.

What do we value in life?

Do we value: money, kudos, status, possessions, power, pleasures, and hate?

Or do we value: truth, justice, mercy, charity, forgiveness, equality, and love?

Do we value the way of the world?

Or do we value the Kingdom of God?

It is a clear choice.

But most of us fudge our faith.

We compromise the values of the Kingdom of God.

And we submit to the exigencies of the world.

The World.

Many of us are horrified at the things that are happening in our world.

Corruption. war, violence, ignorance, deceit, prejudice, persecution.....

All these things abound in our world.

And we feel powerless to stop them.

But we cannot just sit back and say it does not affect us.

Martin Luther King said that if there is injustice anywhere in our world it is injustice to us all.

And so we hope and we pray.

And we do what we can.

But it is not enough.

We can only hope that the world will come to its senses.

And turn to a God who is love, truth, and justice.

Gay Sex.

Many religious people will tell you that it is O.K. to be gay so long as you don't have sex.

They may as well tell you not to be gay!

As if that was possible.

So gay sex is non-negotiable.

It is an essential part of our identity.

And it is O.K. with God.

So don't let anyone tell you that God has banned gay sex.

It is not true.

Gay sex is as acceptable to God as heterosexual sex.

Love is love.

And love is our salvation.

Evil.

If you're basing your self-righteousness on the words of Ronald Reagan then you are sorely mistaken.

Ronald Reagan was not the hero that the corporate-owned media and Fundamentalist Christians claimed.

Ronald Reagan based his war against the political left on demonization and finger pointing.

He used blame and scapegoating techniques to blacken his enemies.

But these things are proscribed in the Bible and associated with Hitler and Nazi Germany.

"If you remove the yoke from among you, the pointing of the finger, the speaking of evil....."  Isaiah 58:9 (NRSV)

As far as his bogus Last Judgement which was linked to the Millennium, Jesus told the parable of the weeds and the wheat.

In this parable the slaves ask the master if he wants them to gather the weeds that have grown up amongst the wheat, but the master says, "No; for in gathering the weeds you would uproot the wheat along with them."  Matthew 13: 29 (NRSV)

And this is what happened.

Innocent people were demonized, judged, and damned because of Reagan's words which were not true then and are not true now.

So those who enacted Reagan's revenge have incurred a massive debt which will be seen for what it is.

For God is truth.

And the truth will endure.

Takeover Target.

The peace and love movement of the 1960s was inspired by Martin Luther King Jn. and Mahatma Gandhi.

And as such it was a reflection of the spiritual values of Jesus Christ and the non-violent (Ahimsa) teachings of Eastern Religion.

But this movement was taken over by rock stars.

And those rock stars were secretly agents of Satanism.

And so love and justice became sex and drugs and rock and roll.

And the dream was lost.

So, as we enter the time of Aquarius, we must make sure that this does not happen again.

So do not allow rock stars to take over your dreams.

If you do you will be betrayed.

Scientists from Generation X have pushed ideas of darkness onto humanity.

A fascination with evil has caused them to become obsessed with black holes and so called dark matter.

Even to then extent of claiming that black holes are at the center of galaxies.

This is impossible.

Darkness has no substance.

It is an optical illusion caused by the limitations of our optical sensors**.

If you turn on the lights it simply disappears like a chimera.

So darkness cannot be at the center of our universe as they seem to be claiming.

God is a the center of our universe.

And God is Light, Life, and Love.

Progressive Religion.

Traditional Christianity is: negative, threatening, patriarchal, sexist, homophobic, repressive, violent, offensive, and damaging.....

Progressive Christianity rejects all these things.

Progressive Christianity reinterprets the Bible in the light of the worldview and context of the times*.

Progressives do not subscribe to Original Sin.

Neither do they support Redemption through the Cross.

Jesus is not God incarnate.

And his death is not a ransom for our sins.

God does not judge us.

And there will be no Judgement Day.

Most Progressives are gay-friendly.

And many are women.

So what do we believe?

God loves us like our Mother/Father.

Jesus' only commandment is to love God and love one another.

God is merciful, forgiving, and gracious.

God's Love is unconditional and everlasting.

There is no hell.

But there is a Heaven.

And that is Love.

(*These methods can easily be applied to all religions.)

Double Jeopardy.

The two biggest things in the world - rock music and sports - are ruled by Satanism.

Rock stars and sports men and women have sold their souls to the devil for fame, fortune, and a rock star reception.

Or so they think.*

But the damage done is the subtle sabotage and corruption of our values and ideals. 

They push vice and sin in the hope of our damnation.

But this is shouded in darkness.

Most of it is subliminal or disguised. 

It is known by few and few believe it.

But this is the reality.

(*Satan may or may not be real but the damage done by his supporters remains.)

Takers and Givers.

You are either a taker or a giver.

Those who are out to get everything they can are takers:

Vultures, sharks, wolves, thieves, rogues, monsters, beasts.....

They are like black holes sucking in everything around them.

But givers are like stars radiating love and light without thought of return.

So be a giver and shine.

For it is not what we get that endures but what we give.

Homophobia.

What we are seeing is world-wide persecution of LGBT+ people.

It is not just gays and lesbians in Africa.

It is all LGBT+ people in the world.

And when people realize that right-wing forces are using scapegoating methods they conveniently forget that LGBT+ people are a major target.

We are never mentioned.

Death.

Death is the basis of Satanism.

This is the Death to God of St. Paul.

"For the wages of sin is death."  Romans 6:23 (NRSV)

"the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil"  Hebrews 2:14 (NRSV)

And so rock stars and entertainers encourage sin in order to induce death and damnation.

But God will not punish us for something of which we are unaware.

He will merely send the Light in order for us to see.

Then death will disappear like an illusion.

Stealing.

If you are merely sponging off someone else's spirituality you are stealing.

"'From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force.'"  Matthew 11:12 (NRSV)

But in the end you cannot steal the Kingdom you have to gain it yourself.

And how do you gain the Kingdom of God?

"He has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God."  Micah 6:8 (NRSV)

Murder.

When Generation X are challenged they call themselves "Pure Evil".

Thus they resort to spiritual violence and murder.

But they bury this in the unconscious and justify themselves with the help of Fundamentalist Christians, right-wing politicians, and corporate plutocrats.

Thus they eliminate their political opponents.

But the fact remains that these right-wing political forces rely on this violence, hate, and murder to achieve their ends.

And so they are in league with "Pure Evil".

Generation X and their allies have turned to the devil in order to win.

And their teeth are the teeth of the Beast.

Decay.

Over the last 4 decades our sense of ethics and ideals has been gradually eroded.

Bad, no angel, sin, wicked, despicable, abominable, rogue, good and evil - a bit of both, hate, violence, war.....

These things have whittled away at our conscience.

We are being told to compromise our principles, to wink at corruption, and to abandon our ideals.....

All this sacrificed to the idols of money and profit.

But this is not God's way. 

God is honest, truthful, pure, generous, and wholly good.

He does not compromise.

And He does not change.

The God we encounter is the same God encountered in history.

And that God is Love.

He Who Deceives the Whole World.

Satan or the devil has been called "He who deceives the whole world." (Revelation 12:9)

And it is true that Satanists in rock music, sports, and entertainment deceive everyone.

Since the 1960s, and before, rock musicians have secretly practised Satanism in their music.

This hidden influence pushes sex and hedonism and encourages drug taking and sin.

This results in untold suffering.

But their ultimate purpose of death* and damnation is hidden in their music.

"Dead Roses", "Sympathy for the Devil", "Their Satanic Majesties Request". "Maxwell's Silver Hammer", "Carry that Weight", "A Friend of the Devil is a Friend of Mine", "Crime of the Century", "We are the Dead", "Ashes to Ashes".....

All these and more curse us and sabotage us.

And it is not just these.

It continues today with rock stars and sportsmen.

Literature is riddled with dark themes:

Night, darkness, shadows, witchcraft, violence, demons, and evil.....

All these things betray their purpose.  

They empower the dark side.

And they turn us to evil.

This is not just some dark fantasy.

It is a deliberate attempt to damn your soul.

So be discerning in your watching and listening,

We have been betrayed.

Life and Death.

In Astrology the sign of Scorpio is said to represent sex and death.

This unfortunate anomaly reinforces the negative image of the body and sex in the writings of St. Paul.

And this association forms the basis of black magic and Satanism.

But sex does not bring death.

Sex brings life.

A new life is born from the union of two adults.

So perhaps it is better to associate sex with transformation and rebirth.

Sex brings new life!

Then death is nothing.

The Church.

When we were young the Church was part of the Conservative Establishment and as such it claimed authority and demanded obedience.

The Church taught that God would judge us and punish us with eternal damnation if we disobeyed.

Their attitude to sex was extremely negative and induced guilt and shame.

Homosexuality was never mentioned.

So it is little wonder that an educated generation rejected the Church outright.

The revelations of child sexual abuse were just the last straw.

But after closer scrutiny of the scriptures it has become evident that this traditional Church is not representative of Jesus or God at all.

It is in fact the equivalent of the Priests and Pharisees in the New Testament and as such they are "blind guides". (Matthew 15:14)

God is merciful, forgiving, and gracious.

He does not judge us.

And He does not punish us.

God loves us like our mother.

Only better.

So do not reject God or Jesus because of the teachings of the Church.

"But whenever you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you."  Matthew 6:6 (NRSV)

No Weapons.

If you Google Male Angels you will invariably get images of musclebound angels wearing armor and brandishing swords - ready to fight against the devil.

But evil is not overcome by violence or force.

Evil is overcome by the sheer power of love.

Love is the most powerful force in the universe.

And Love is the inmost nature of God.

So when you image male angels make sure that they have no weapons.

Because it is not weapons that will save us but love.

Holy.

The opposite of evil is not merely good but Holy.

This is a method of understanding the Holiness of the Divine.

It is not some cold, rarified, distant paragon.

It is the pure and perfect refinement of Love.

Homophobia.

The world has become poisoned with homophobia.

Right-wing political forces are attempting to roll back advances made to protect homosexuals.

Countries in Africa and elsewhere are passing laws that criminalize homsexuality.

Some are even introducing the death penalty.

This fuels prejudice and hate.

And the fear that followed AIDS.

But AIDS is cured!

So religious and social objections are invalid.

Homosexuality is acceptable to God.

And gay people go to Heaven.

Brutality.

"Football is brutal."

It is violent and merciless.

And it is the home of the Beast.

Players make the sign of the horns.

And the presentation is riddled with flames.

The commentators use violent language.

And the advertisements are dubious.

So don't put your faith in sports or entertainment.

It is poisoned with Satanism.

Natural Justice.

It is our human expectation that God will reward good deeds and punish evil.

This is called Natural Justice.

But this does not seem to take place in reality.

This is because God transcends our human understanding.

God can see deeper than the surface we see.

He knows the reasons why people act the way they do.

Violence, abuse, deceit, fear....

These things cause the problems we face in life.

And so while we expect Natural Justice we never expect it to apply to ourselves.

But God does not judge us or punish us.

He merely withdraws from error.

And when we turn to God at last we encounter mercy, forgiveness, and grace.

This does not stop the evil and madness we experience on Earth.

But it changes us.

We become more benevolent, more relaxed, more generous......

Our fears fall away as we experience the Love of God.

And we become the person we were meant to be.

God restores our soul.

And we find peace.

Lukewarm.

Life on Earth.

During the 1970s I came to the conclusion that there was something wrong with the world.

Everyone was miserable and nothing seemed to work.

So I set out to find out what was wrong.

I retired to my apartment with a selection of books - mostly on mythology.

This was only mildly successful and caused  more problems than it solved.

I continued to practise Yoga but fell foul of the authorities because I was gay.

During the AIDS crisis I returned to the Christian Church in search of refuge from the hatred and hostility that was directed at me because of my sexuality.

Fortunately the Church that I chose was discussing the issue of gay sexuality which helped with my mental health.

This involved study of the Bible and exposure to new Progressive Christian ideas.

It also involved a great deal of prayer.

Eventually I realized two things:

One was that there is an evil influence affecting us all through rock music and entertainment.

This glamorous and seductive influence is riddled with secret Satanism.

Death, darkness, night, excess, hedonism, hate, decadence.....

Sex and drugs and rock and roll ruined us all.

Little did we know it was Satanism.

So I stopped listening to rock music and watching suspect movies etc..

My mental health improved dramatically.

But it was when I realized that the answer to my question - what's wrong with the world - was that there was not enough love in the world that my life changed completely.

I merely followed the instructions to love God and to love your neighbor.

This filled my life with love.

And I was able to live again.

Because God is Love.

And love is life!

Gay Love.

Gay love is love.

There is no distinction.

Most prophets and messengers were men.

And they worshipped a male God.

So same-sex love is the very basis of spirituality.

Yogis and their students.

Jesus and the Beloved Disciple.

Rumi and Shams.

Same-sex relationships dominate religion.

So, far from being banned, same-sex love should be celebrated by the world's religions.

The Witch.

God's Radical Forgiveness.

God does not judge us or punish us.

God loves us.

And He shows us His radical forgiveness.

The New Testament is full of parables where God writes off debts.

And Jesus says: "Your sins are forgiven".

So do not be afraid to turn to God.

For He will show you mercy and forgiveness.

And He will offer you the gift of grace.

Sex is Love.

Sex is love.

The energy we experience as sexual desire is in fact love.

And this applies to all sexual desire including same-sex desire.

All sex is looking for love.

At a deeper level the soul longs to love and be loved.

And we experience this longing as sexual desire.

What's love got to do with it?

Everything!

So do not be afraid to express your love.

With respect for the loved one's wishes, rights, and vows.

Then your love will be requited.

Judge.

The Hebrew word translated as judge in the Bible has a much broader meaning than merely to punish.

It is used in relation to the cause of the poor (Jeremiah 22:16) and the fortunes of the nations (Isaiah 2:4)

It includes protection of the poor and vulnerable, restorative justice, and equality before God.

And so it tempers the severe image of God with justice and compassion.

An Evil Influence.

There is an evil influence in our world which corrupts everything and leads to human suffering.

This is the hidden influence of Satanism in our popular culture.

Rock music, entertainment, sports, literature, and advertising all contain subliminal images and words which divert us from the path that leads to happiness and eternal life.

Death, darkness, night, shadows, gloom, doom, horror, witchcraft, black magic, hate, and evil.....

These things poison our minds and darken our spirits.

It is not just a dark fantasy it is a deliberate strategy to to damn our souls.

Death to God is the basis of black magic and Satanism.

It is the result of sin and leads to damnation.

But even if we don't believe this the obsession with sex and pleasure will lead to intense suffering and frustration with life.

Cynicism, depression, alienation, decadence, anger, bad-temper, vice, nastiness, and suicide.....

These things are the result of the obsession with sex and pleasure which Satanism sells.

So be more discerning in your watching and listening.

These things are the face of an evil influence which affects us all.

Hell.

The reason that Satanists don't go to hell is because they were given the wrong information in the first place.

What they were reacting against was the Churches' traditional image of God as a harsh judge and punisher of humankind.

And the Churches' insistence that this God was opposed to sex and pleasure.

So they assumed that His opposite - the devil - would grant them what they wanted.

This is based on dubious passages in the Bible.

For example: the devil shows Jesus all the kingdoms of the world and says to him: "'To you I will give their glory and all this authority; for it has been given over to me, and I give it to anyone I please.  If you, then, will worship me, it will all be yours.'"  Luke 4:5-7 (NRSV)

This claim by the devil only appears in the Gospel of Luke and how they could know what the devil said to Jesus in the wilderness is questionable.

And it was probably a lie in the first place.

And so when they see that God is not as harsh and prohibitive as they were told and they experience the love and forgiveness of God they will change their minds.

And the devil will become redundant*.

How much more will others be forgiven who have been misled and deceived in this life!

Hell is out of character for a loving God.

(*I don't believe that the devil exists in reality - the devil is a human concept invented to explain our experience on Earth.)
