He Had It All.

He had it all:

A good job, a three-figure salary, a beautiful wife, a big house, luxury cars, investments, beautiful children.....

But it wasn't enough.

He still wasn't happy.

Because he lacked one thing:

A good heart.

Lip Service.

I believe that God says of Fundamentalist and Evangelical Christians what Jesus said of the Pharisees:

"These people draw near me with their mouths 

and honor me with their lips,

but the hearts are far from me,

and their worship of me is a human

commandment learned by rote."

Isaiah 29:13 (NRSV)

This is quoted by Jesus in Matthew 15:8,9 and Mark 7:6,7 (NRSV)

And it is true of much of his Church today.

They point the finger as Eliphaz, Bildad, and Zophar pointed the finger at the sores and boils on Job's body and insisted that God was punishing him.

But Job is justified in the end.   

God says to Job's accusers: "You have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has."  Job 42:7 (NRSV)

And so we will be justified in the end.

And the hypocrites will be put to shame.

Mental Health.

Hate.

Fundamentalist Christians say that they hate gay and lesbian people because they are sinners.

And they say that God hates us.

But the Bible says: "Whoever says 'I am in the light', while hating a brother or sister, is still in the darkness.  Whoever loves a brother or sister lives in the light." 1 John 2:9,10 (NRSV) 

And so they are not "in the light" as they claim but deep in the darkness of hate and evil.

For "God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them." 1 John 4:16 (NRSV)

Gay Love.

When a gay man approaches you don't panic.

He is offering you his love.

If you do not feel able to respond in a sexual fashion it is best to let him down gently.

Violent sexual rejection can have dire consequences.

But you may feel able to accept his love.

If he is able to accept your wishes.

And so we must proceed with respect.

We must respect your wishes, your rights, and your vows.

And then you may feel able to respect our offer of love.

Good Gays.

Gay people are good.

I know that some out of bitterness and spite may turn to the dark side.

But the overwheming majority of gay people are good.

Allegations by fundamentalists that gays are possessed by the devil are groundless.

This delusion is based on dubious passages in the Bible.

And it is rooted in fear and ignorance.

Gay people are good.

And they are loved and valued by God.

The End.

Just as the Age of Pisces saw the end of blood sacrifice to God.

So the Age of Aquarius will see the end of the theology of Original Sin and Redemption through Jesus' Death on the Cross.

These things are offensive to modern sensibilities.

They cannot last.

And they will be replaced by more positve theoogical conceptions.

Heavy Metal.

Bodybuilders lift heavy metal weights.

And they listen to heavy metal music.

Unfortunately heavy metal music is mostly Satanic.

And so they unconsciously associate heavy metal with the devil and hell.

Satanic rock music associates sex with the devil.

Therefore heavy metal is associated with sex.

This unfortunate situation can be countered by the presence of Saturn and Capricorn*.

Most bodybuilders have strong Saturn and Capricorn aspects in their charts.

Saturn represents the father and ultimately God our spiritual Father.

So their strength and masculinity leads them to God and to Heaven.

And so potentially bodybuilders can be Satanic monsters or pillars of living stone.

Thus their faith can save them.

If they pray to God with a sincere heart.

It is my prayer that they denounce the devil and all his works and turn to God through love the unseen hook.

The Search.

The Baby-Boomer Generation rejected the Traditional Christianity of the 1950s which was negative, authoritarian, and threatening.

And we set out on a search for God.

Many of us experimented with Yoga and Eastern Religions.

But our search was sabotaged by Satanists in rock music.

Promiscuity and drugs diverted our pure intentions and ensured that our efforts ended in failure.

And so peace and love became sex and drugs and rock and roll.

And social justice became decadence.

 

The alternative title for Let the Sun Shine In - the final song of the Musical Hair - was The Flesh Failures.

And so we were set up from the beginning.

And we were sitting ducks for Reagan's Judgment of the Millennium.

But the Bible says: "Ask, and it will be given; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you." Luke 11:9 (NRSV)

So the search may yet be fruitful.

If we turn to God in prayer.

Hades.

In Astrology the asteroid Hades represents the crude or even evil aspects of our personalities.

These are hidden in our shadows and relegated to the subconscious where we don't acknowledge them.

But they are there and they will affect our behavior despite our protestations.

In the ancient world they were thought of as demonic spirits and were removed by exrocism.

But God can remove these things if we pray.

In the Book of Daniel it says: "Many shall be purified, cleansed, and refined."  Daniel 12:10 (NRSV)

And this is what transpires if we turn to God.

Feminism.

Feminism began as a justice movement.

It was lucid, enlightened, and necessary.

It became about power and hate and defeating male dominance by any means.

Women became obsessed with destroying the Patriarchy and establishing a Matriarchy.

The original intention was to establish equality, not supremacy.

So the trajectory of Feminism has been diverted.

Some seek power and knowledge through witchcraft and paganism.

Some seek power over men and boys - male strippers and toy boys.

Sexual dominance was not the original intention of Feminism.

The original objective was equality.

Progressive.

Progressive politicians are sweeping the Democratic Party in the U.S..

This is a sign that younger voters are moving to the left.

They support issues like: universal healthcare, action on climate change and gun control, dismantling ICE, social justice, and corporate taxation.....

And these ideals are compatible with progressive religious ideas that are emerging.

Progressive Christianity supports: social justice, diversity, non-violence, welfare, and peace.....

So support for progressives does not mean abandoning your religion.

Rather it reforms a religion that has lost its appeal in the modern wotld.

Agents of Evil.

There are agents of evil at work in our world but they are not who you think!

Rock stars, sports men and women, writers, actors, and directors, even betting companies and others.....

This is the hidden evil of Satanism in our culture.

They will addict you to pleasure, gambling, and football.....

They will wreck your relationships.

And they will sabotage your spiritual quest.

Satanism is religion backwards.

It is death, darkness, violence, force, punishment, hate, drugs, and evil.

It is damnation and hell.

Hence all the flames.

So be more discerning in your listening and watching.

Counter negative influences with classical music and scripture.

Then you will be on your way Home!

The Hand of God.

We may look at the world and see all the terrible things that are happening - the suffering cause by ignorance and fear, the violence, the lies, the corruption.....

We may even see agents of evil at work.

But despite all of this there is a God.

And He is working in our world.

It may not be immediately apparent, or manifest in the way we might expect.

But God is at work in acts of charity and compassion.

He is present in mercy and forgiveness.

And He is with us in the giving of love.

Homophobia.

At the root of the persecution of LGBT+ people in our world is fear.

Fear of immorality, fear of illness, fear of death.....

And it is this fear that drives Conversion Therapy.

Religious people are so afraid of homosexuals that they feel compelled to force us to change.

They still think that AIDS is caused by homosexuality.

And they still think that AIDS is God's punishment.

But because these errors are caused by irrational fears they can be changed by eduacation.

AIDS is caused by a virus, HIV, it is not moral in its behavior.

And in any case AIDS is cured so it cannot be punishment from God. 

And it never was.

So if you are homophobic look at the fears that drive you.

And when the fear is gone homophobia will be gone.

Prosperity.

There is a widespread belief that prosperity will lead to universal happiness.

But injustice is endemic to Capitalism.

And unbridled Capitalism has not brought happiness.

Only a fairer system will lead to universal happiness.

And a fairer system can only be achieved by legislative controls of the economy.

So do not be deceived by those who tell you that more money will bring happiness.

It does not.

Happiness will only be achieved when everyone has enough.

Enough.

I had an aunt who worked into her old age even though her husband had a well-paid job.

My mother asked her why she continued to work when they had millions.

My aunt said: "Because I never felt that I had enough."

She had grown up during the Great Depression and the fear of poverty was great indeed.

Perhaps this is how it is with those who chase after more and more wealth and possessions in our world.

Perhaps they are just afraid.

And as such we can feel sorry for them.

They don't have the courage or faith to stop.

For with God there will always be enough.

Ecclesiastes.

In the Book of Ecclesiastes in the Bible King Solomon is saying: "I was the richest man in the world; I had all wealth, all power, all pleasure; and yet I found no satisfaction in it." 

"All is vanity and chasing after the wind,"  Ecclesiastes 2:11 (NRSV)

He became disillusioned and hated life.

He developed a death wish. 

Even wisdom and knowledge seemed futile.

The wicked and the righteous experience the same fate: 

Naked we came into the world and naked we shall leave it.

And the ways of God are inscrutable.

But he does not find the answer.

All he can say is that God will bring everything to Judgement whether good or evil.

The Blacklist.

When we pray for others we must remember that some rock stars, sportsmen, writers, and entertainers have turned to the devil for fame and fortune.

And so those for whom there is evidence of evil* must be placed on the Blacklist.

Not that we should not pray for them but that they would try to take advantage of us and benefit from our prayers but not change.

So for others we can pray for heaven and salvation.

But for those on the Blacklist we must pray that they change.

They must denounce the devil and all his works and turn to God through love - the unseen hook.

For the devil denounces love because God is love and those who love abide in God and God abides in them.  (1 John 4:16)

Tough and Teeth.

Generation X insist that the answer is tough and teeth.

Meaning you have to be tough to endure life.

And the answer is teeth or superior strength.

But hidden behind this rigid facade is a black heart.

A heart of pure evil that resorts to violence and murder to achieve their ends.

And they project these qualities onto God.

And they force others to submit to their errors.

But at the root of this is fear.

Fear of losing, fear of being dominated, fear of weakness.....

But God does not resort to violence or force.

He will not coerce us.

God is non-violent.

He is merciful, forgiving, and gracious.

And His inmost nature is Love.

Our Thoughts.

"With our thoughts we make the world." - the Buddha.

Our thoughts actually affect other people.

If we have bad thoughts about others it will affect them badly.

If we have good thoughts about others it will affect them positively.

 

So prejudice matters, and malice and vindictiveness count.

It has recently been suggested that prejudice and malice play a role in mental illness.

And this is my experience.

So working to alleviate prejudice and hatred is a worthwhile cause.

And our prayers for others will help.

These problems are caused by fear.

So getting to the root of the fears that inspire prejudice and hatred is essential.

Then the benefits will come to everyone.

The Cost of Living Crisis.

The cost of living crisis in Australia was directly caused by the conservative Howard government.

Then Treasurer Peter Costello cut Capital Gains Tax by 50% which resulted in investors flooding the house market and causing house prices to rise dramatically.

When this caused tax revenue to fall he brought in the G.S.T. which penalized the poor.

And the exorbitant rise in home prices has meant that people could no longer afford to buy their own home therefore the rental market has been flooded and landlords have increased rents inordinately.

So the cost of living crisis was directly caused by the mismanagement of the economy by the conservative Howard government.

Fear.

In the end all the problems of our world are caused by fear.

Fear of poverty, fear of suffering, fear of punishment, fear of ridicule, fear of God.

Even reactionary Satanism is caused by fear.

Fear of missing out, fear of castration.

Satanism is a reaction against the harsh image of God put out by traditional religions.

But this image of God is caused by fear.

Fear of punishment, fear of evil.

So all these things are forgivable because they are caused by fear.

Be they personal fears or errors caused by fear.

But there is no fear in God.

And so when we overcome our fears we will be on our way home.

Spiritual Development.

When we consider the matter of Spiritual Development it is necessary to be aware of influences which work against us.

It is not sufficient, however, to disavow materialism and profit motive in our quest.

We must be aware of Satanic influences in our popular culture.

Satanism in rock music, entertainment, and sports actively sabotages and opposes our spiritual development.

Satanism in rock music wrecks our relationships by encouraging promiscuity and cheating and pushing pleasure and hedonism as sin.

This is intended to induce a spiritual death which leads to damnation and hell.

Hence all the flames.

Entertainment is full of dark themes: darkness, shadows, violence, and evil.

And vices and decay like: rogues, despicable, abominable, malice, moral ambivalence, and evil.

This is not a popular position because most people don't believe in the devil any more.

But the damage done by those who do is substantial.

This is subtle, hidden, and disguised.

They are dogs* and divas.

But they are false messiahs, false saviors.

And their influence should be avoided.

Sacred classical music and study of the scriptures are recommended to replace rock music and dark entertainment.

And devotion must replace drugs.

Then our prayers will be answered.

And our souls will be home.

Looking for Love.

We are all looking for love.

Everyone in the world.

And this is the longing of the soul within us.

To be loved is good.

But to love is even better.

And so when we open our hearts to God and to others we find peace and happiness.

For love is flowing through us.

And love satisfies the soul.

Even our bodies find peace and satisfaction.

So do not despair of finding love.

Because love resides within us even in our own hearts.

A New Interpretation.

When you see that Satanism hijacked the peace movement of the 1960s it is not sufficient to just switch to the Religious Right.

Because the Religious Right is the equivalent of the Priests and Pharisees in the story of Jesus.

Jesus called them "blind guides". (Matthew 15;14)

They do not know God, nor do they reflect His nature.

They are political.

And their politics is driven by money.

So if you return to the Bible as a spiritual guide you must reinterpret the scriptures in view of the times and context of each passage.

This is the new interpretation that forms the basis of Progressive Christianity.

It is realistic, non-violent, merciful, and gracious.

And it will inform the religion of the future.

The Seed and The Sower.

In the Parable of The Seed and The Sower a man goes out to sow his seed and some fell on the path and the birds ate it up, some fell on rocks and it withered, some fell among thorns and they choked it.....But some fell on good soil and it flourished.

This is what happens with the Word of God.

Some is soon picked off, some has no roots, some are choked by the cares and riches and pleasures of this world.....But some hold fast in a good and honest heart and bear fruit with patient endurance.

(Luke 8:5-15)

The Kingdom of God.

What are the values of the Kingdom of God?

The values of the Kingdom of God are set out in the Beatitudes. (Matthew 5:3-11)

Justice, comfort, non-violence, righteousness, mercy, pure love, peacemaking. and endurance.

These things are blessed.

And they lead to the Kingdom of Heaven.

Values.

What do we value in life?

Do we value: money, kudos, status, possessions, power, pleasures, and hate?

Or do we value: truth, justice, mercy, charity, forgiveness, equality, and love?

Do we value the way of the world?

Or do we value the Kingdom of God?

It is a clear choice.

But most of us fudge our faith.

We compromise the values of the Kingdom of God.

And we submit to the exigencies of the world.

The World.

Many of us are horrified at the things that are happening in our world.

Corruption. war, violence, ignorance, deceit, prejudice, persecution.....

All these things abound in our world.

And we feel powerless to stop them.

But we cannot just sit back and say it does not affect us.

Martin Luther King said that if there is injustice anywhere in our world it is injustice to us all.

And so we hope and we pray.

And we do what we can.

But it is not enough.

We can only hope that the world will come to its senses.

And turn to a God who is love, truth, and justice.

Gay Sex.

Many religious people will tell you that it is O.K. to be gay so long as you don't have sex.

They may as well tell you not to be gay!

As if that was possible.

So gay sex is non-negotiable.

It is an essential part of our identity.

And it is O.K. with God.

So don't let anyone tell you that God has banned gay sex.

It is not true.

Gay sex is as acceptable to God as heterosexual sex.

Love is love.

And love is our salvation.

Evil.

If you're basing your self-righteousness on the words of Ronald Reagan then you are sorely mistaken.

Ronald Reagan was not the hero that the corporate-owned media and Fundamentalist Christians claimed.

Ronald Reagan based his war against the political left on demonization and finger pointing.

He used blame and scapegoating techniques to blacken his enemies.

But these things are proscribed in the Bible and associated with Hitler and Nazi Germany.

"If you remove the yoke from among you, the pointing of the finger, the speaking of evil....."  Isaiah 58:9 (NRSV)

As far as his bogus Last Judgement which was linked to the Millennium, Jesus told the parable of the weeds and the wheat.

In this parable the slaves ask the master if he wants them to gather the weeds that have grown up amongst the wheat, but the master says, "No; for in gathering the weeds you would uproot the wheat along with them."  Matthew 13: 29 (NRSV)

And this is what happened.

Innocent people were demonized, judged, and damned because of Reagan's words which were not true then and are not true now.

So those who enacted Reagan's revenge have incurred a massive debt which will be seen for what it is.

For God is truth.

And the truth will endure.

Takeover Target.

The peace and love movement of the 1960s was inspired by Martin Luther King Jn. and Mahatma Gandhi.

And as such it was a reflection of the spiritual values of Jesus Christ and the non-violent (Ahimsa) teachings of Eastern Religion.

But this movement was taken over by rock stars.

And those rock stars were secretly agents of Satanism.

And so love and justice became sex and drugs and rock and roll.

And the dream was lost.

So, as we enter the time of Aquarius, we must make sure that this does not happen again.

So do not allow rock stars to take over your dreams.

If you do you will be betrayed.

Scientists from Generation X have pushed ideas of darkness onto humanity.

A fascination with evil has caused them to become obsessed with black holes and so called dark matter.

Even to then extent of claiming that black holes are at the center of galaxies.

This is impossible.

Darkness has no substance.

It is an optical illusion caused by the limitations of our optical sensors**.

If you turn on the lights it simply disappears like a chimera.

So darkness cannot be at the center of our universe as they seem to be claiming.

God is a the center of our universe.

And God is Light, Life, and Love.

Progressive Religion.

Traditional Christianity is: negative, threatening, patriarchal, sexist, homophobic, repressive, violent, offensive, and damaging.....

Progressive Christianity rejects all these things.

Progressive Christianity reinterprets the Bible in the light of the worldview and context of the times*.

Progressives do not subscribe to Original Sin.

Neither do they support Redemption through the Cross.

Jesus is not God incarnate.

And his death is not a ransom for our sins.

God does not judge us.

And there will be no Judgement Day.

Most Progressives are gay-friendly.

And many are women.

So what do we believe?

God loves us like our Mother/Father.

Jesus' only commandment is to love God and love one another.

God is merciful, forgiving, and gracious.

God's Love is unconditional and everlasting.

There is no hell.

But there is a Heaven.

And that is Love.

(*These methods can easily be applied to all religions.)
