Homosexuality.

Homosexuality has become a symbol to the Religious Right of the decay of our society.

They characterize all gays and lesbians as devils hell-bent on destroying our morals.

But this is generalizing in the most blatant fashion.

It is prejudice.

And it has become a scapegoat for evil.

Moses described the Israelites as "stiff-necked" and 'hard-hearted" this means that they were rigid and intolerant.

"Was not Sodom a byword* in your mouth in the day of your pride, before your wickedness was uncovered?"  Ezekiel 16: 56,57 (NRSV)

But God says: "I will restore their fortunes, the fortunes of Sodom and her daughters,"  Ezekiel 16:53 (NRSV)  They "shall return to their former state."  Ezekiel 16:55 (NRSV)
