What We Need to Know 2.

The Bible says to love God.
How can we love God if we are afraid?
Fear expels love.

But there is nothing to fear.
God will not punish us.

Pray to God.
Give your heart to God.
Study the scriptures.
Cry out to God in distress.
God will hear you.

We have been taught to treat God like the school headmaster.
But God is a loving Father.

We have been told that God's right hand rewards the worthy and God's left hand punishes the wicked.
But this is not so.
God's right hand prompts us and God's left hand reconciles.

We should not fear God.

If there is a question we should pray about it.
"'Ask, and it will be given to you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.'"  Matthew 7:7 (NRSV)

Seek God's face.
