Scoring Points.

We are so used to thinking of people as good or bad that it is hard to get out of the habit.  (In most cases we are the good guys and they are the bad guys.)

If we are to change this teaching to one of universal love we must address the resulting problems.

In order for those who have placed their value in doing good works to be O.K. it must be explained to them that they are valued and loved no matter what they have done.

Where there is fear of punishment for not doing good works it should be explained that there is no punishment in any case.

In order to be like God we must do no harm to others.

As we are encouraged to love others, helping them will follow naturally.

So we may be doing the same things but with a motivation of love rather than a motivation of fear.
