Youth suicide is on the rise.
And the reasons are not hard to find.
More and more pressure is being put on them.
Greater demands are being made and less support is being offered.
The messages they receive are unhelpful, even malevolent.
The barrage of advertising pushing materialism and consumer culture is philosophically destructive.
And the messages in rock music and popular culture are negative and corrupting.
So they need something that brings meaning into their lives.
Something that leads to life not death.
And that is the message of love.
When we feel loved we are able to cope with life.
It is when love is absent that we struggle.
And this is the message at the heart of all religions and no religion.
Love will keep you alive.
So open your heart and give love to those around you.
Then you will know life!
