The dark side of Prosperity Theology is the idea that if something bad happens to you you must be guilty of sin.
And just as the world ignored what happened to the Jews in Germany in the 1930s so the world ignored what happened to gay men in the 1980s.
And this attitude persists.
The hard-nosed prejudice that was inspired by AIDS is still with us today in the form of legislation biased against gays and violent hate attacks.
These are justified by right-wing religious groups who insist that homosexuality is a sin.
And they condone the punishment of sinners.
As the Nazis did.
So don't just say: "This doesn't affect me so why should I care?"
History condemns such ignorance.
