Neo-Liberalism or more precisely Neo-Economic-Liberalism is based on the writings of Friedrich Hayek.
Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan based their campaigns for deregulation of the economy on his writings.
Hayek maintained that any regulation of the economy was equivalent to Communist Totalitarianism and therefore a violation of freedom.
This is fantasy at best.
And the implementation of his theories has resulted in the gross disparity between rich and poor in our world, the corruption of corporations and governments, the oppression of workers, union bashing, and perpetual war.
It's time to rethink our economic models.
