The dualistic religion of ancient Iran existed before Judaism or Christianity were founded.
Despite the fact that this is a false conception of reality it influenced both Indian religions and Judeo-Christian thinking.
So the concept of a devil with the power of death appears in the writings of St. Paul.
This idea that death is a spiritual state or kingdom derives from Iranian Dualism.
But it has no substance in reality.
In Reality there is only one supernatural power and that is God.
And God is wholly good.
We are surrounded by Life!
Death is no thing.
It is not a spiritual state.
And it is not an realm or kingdom.
It is part of an archaic explanation for life on Earth.
But it appeals to those who reject God and turn to evil as a source of power and success.
They think that the devil can grant them what they want.
But this is an illusion.
Or more precisely a delusion.
Success is achieved through talent and persistence.
It is not granted by some fictitious devil.
So be wary of anything that glamorizes evil or the devil.
It will lead you to suffering and hell.
