We can experience the Presence of God but we can also experience what seems to be the absence of God.
Although God is never completely absent because God is in all things and more.
But through prayer, study, contemplation, and action we can experience God's Presence.
This is God breaking into History usually through human beings.
The prophet Habakkuk complained.
"O Lord, how long shall I cry for help and you will not listen?
Or cry to you 'Violence' and you will not save?
Why do you make me see wrongdoing and look at trouble?"
Habakkuk 1: 2,3 (NRSV)
"Then the Lord answered me and said.....
.....there is still a vision for the appointed time."
Habakkuk 2: 2,3 (NRSV)
That time is now.
