Prosperity Theology.

What the Pentecostal and Evangelical Churches have done is use the aspirations of wealth and success to entice young people to attend their churches.

This is the marketing strategy that they learned from the corporations.

Jesus is the product and they promise wealth and success to sell him.

Unfortunately this not the Gospel.

The Gospel is good news for the poor: aiding the poor and needy, the widow and the orphan, and the alien (immigrants).....

It is not a boon for the rich.

Jesus said to the rich man: "'You lack one thing, go, sell what you own, and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me.'"  Mark 10:21 (NRSV)

So Prosperity Theology with  all its corruptions is a bankrupt philosophy.

It is not true and it is not what Jesus taught.
