What we have to realize is that the powers and authorities of this world are not manifestations of the Will of God.
Our corporate masters do not reflect the nature of God at all.
Walter Wink calls them fallen.
By which he means that they are evil.
Jesus testified that the works of the world are evil. (John 7:7)
And that the world does not know God. (John 17:25)
When we realize that God is good, that God does not use violence or force, that God does not punish us or judge us but that God loves us like a Father, then we understand the Beatitudes, not as what we experience in the world, but as God's Will for the world and for us all.
God is reliable.
God is trustworthy and true.
And God's Love in unconditional.
