Spiritual.

The Baby-Boomers are spiritual people.

That is why the powers of this world hate them.

Jesus said to his disciples: "'The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify against it that its works are evil.'"  John 7:7 (NRSV)

The ideals and socialist politics of the Baby-Boomers are despised by the corporate plutocrats and their political puppets who now rule our world.

And they are the victims of a prolonged hate campaign which uses violence and evil to defeat them.

So, far from the hell to which the Religious Right has condemned us, we will be blessed and honored in Heaven for Eternity.

Fear 2.

You may wonder how people who pray five times a day, give alms, and observe a month of fasting each year can be violent, cold, and threatening.

The answer is that their faith has been enforced by violence and fear.

If you teach people to obey God with violence and fear, insisting that this is the nature of God, then you will create violent, threatening people.

Violence begets violence.

And fear begets fear.

So passages in scripture which inspire fear should be ignored.

In fact we should be actively preaching against them.

God's nature is Love.

And "perfect love casts out fear." 1 John 4:18 (NRSV)

Fear 1.

The Church has traditionally taught children to fear God.

Fear of punishment and fear of hell then motivates their actions as adults.

So those who seek to do God's work in the world are mostly motivated by fear.

The alternative is to do whatever you like and chase after pleasures which, they have been taught, results in hell.

So fear of damnation and eternal torment in hell lies beneath their good works.

But fear is no motivation.

Fear begets fear.

And terror beets terrorists.

So much of their good work is spoiled by fear.

Our task is to allay their fears.

And change their motivation from fear to love.

Evil.

The problems that we are facing in our world now are basically the symptoms of a spiritual malaise.

Quite apart from the fact that rock music, entertainment, and sports contain covert Satanism the practices of our corporate masters and their political allies are evil.

Deliberate deception, smear campaigns, profiteering, irresponsibility, exploitation, lies, scapegoating, and hate are all symptoms of evil.

And it is covered in darkness.

The darkness of sin and corruption.

But a light is coming into our world.

And this light comes from God.

So we must follow the light and aspire to do good.

Honesty, integrity, truthfulness, courage, altruism, humanitarianism, charity, faith, and love are remedies for our current dilemma.

And worship and prayer will support our efforts.

So look to positive spiritual practices to correct what has been spoiled.

And ask God to help us.

Hate as a Political Weapon.

Since 1984 we have seen a continuous hate campaign against the left.

Ronald Reagan's hatred of the left-leaning Hippies combined with Generation X's hatred of their predecessors to destroy the left.

And labelling left-wing policies as the devil justified the Religious Right's hate.

They called Obama the Anti-Christ because he dared to propose health-care.

They claim that hate is a Biblical imperative.

Citing Old Testament texts which claim that God hates evil and sin.

But they ignore the words of Jesus: "'You have heard that it was said, "You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy."  But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.'"  Matthew 5:43,44 (NRSV)

Hate is not Christian.

Hate is the domain of the devil.

If there is one.

So they are not Christian because they ignore the words of Jesus himself.

And they have sold their souls for political power and privilege.

Aquarius.

Aquarius is associated with light.

This is because Aquarius is represented by the stars in the night sky.

You may say that light in the Zodiac is represented by Leo (its opposite sign) and its ruler the Sun.

But opposite signs have a strong relationship in astrology and it must be remembered that the Sun is a star.

So the light that will come with Aquarius will enlighten humanity.

It may come slowly or in sudden revelations.

But it will come.

The Age of Aquarius.

So what can we expect from the Age of Aquarius?

First of all we can expect an Epiphany of Light.

A new enlightenment of humankind.

This Light has already begun to come into our world.

It can be seen in the revelations of progressive religion.

And in the works of Pope Francis I, Desmond Tutu, the Dalai Lama and others.

But the darkest hour is just before the dawn.

Our world has been plunged into darkness and evil.

Fortunately the darkest hour has passed.

And we are entering a new reality.

But this is a gradual process.

It will not happen all at once.

The legalizing of gay marriages and their celebration in some Christian Churches is a sign of greater light.

The virtual curing of AIDS leads us out of fear and violence.

A resurgence of left-wing political thinking gives us hope.

But these things are encountering stubborn opposition from conservative forces.

If we can demonstrate that their fears are unfounded there may be progress.

But don't despair if progress is slow.

It is slow but slowly building.

And its author is God.
