The Wall.

The wall is a symbol of fear.

Fear that something or someone will invade or influence us.

In most cases this is not actually the case but just a groundless fear.

But the wall is real none the less.

We construct them in our world and we construct them in ourselves.

Thus shutting ourselves in.

Both Sides.

When in power a government should listen to both sides of the story.

We should not be afraid to voice our concerns.

And we should allow the opposition to voice their concerns.

But we should not be bullied or blackmailed by either of them.

Our Thoughts.

The Buddha said:

"With our thoughts we make the world."

Our thoughts are basically helpful or harmful.

And our thoughts affect others.

If we have harmful thoughts about others they are affected negatively.

If we have helpful thoughts about others they are affected positively.

But this is not to deny that there is evil in the world.

Some people may be acting in ways that are harmful to others.

But we are not to condemn them or punish them but pray for them to see their error and adjust their behavior accordingly.

This is why Jesus said: "'Do not resist an evildoer.'"  Matthew 6:39 (NRSV)

And: "'Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.'"  Matthew 6:44 (NRSV)

Pray that we see our errors and align ourselves with the Love of God that is wholly benevolent and forgiving.

Hypocrites!

The right-wing religious lobby in America is ridiculously hypocritical.

They oppose God's Will at every turn.

They vote against a national health system that would help the poor and needy.

They vote against increasing the minimum wage which would help the poorest people in the country.

They vote to keep the death penalty and acquit right-wing murderers.

They vote against gun control which would stop the epidemic of violence in the U.S..

They persecute immigrants (aliens in the Bible).

 

They oppose the rights of LGBTIQ+ people.

And they want to impose prayer in schools and display the Ten Commandments in classrooms.

Meanwhile they support a candidate for President who is a serial adulterer and liar.

Hypocrites!

They are the descendants of those who crucified Jesus.

They don't know God.

And they don't know Jesus.

Love.

Love is the most powerful force in the universe.

We cannot live without love.

All sex is looking for love.

Love is the only thing that actually increases the more we give it away.

The source of love in our heart is infinite.

Love is the universal panacea.

Because Love is the inmost nature of God.

The Sons of Josiah.

"Are you a king because you compete in cedar?

Did not your father eat and drink and do justice and righteousness?

Then it was well with him.

He judged the cause of the poor and needy, then it was well.

Is this not to know me? says the Lord.

But your eyes and heart are only on your dishonest gain,

This is what awaits those who flaunt God's Will and chase after selfish gain.

You cannot live a life of vice and wickedness and expect to please God.

Nothing awaits you but disgrace.

Hate.

The right-wing political campaign is based on lies, hate, prejudice, stereotypes, and fear.

It is 100% negative and in league with Satanists in our popular culture.

Satanism is backwards so the blame falls on their political enemies.

This is exemplified by the rhetoric of Donald Trump.

He reverses any criticism and sells monstrous lies.

Don't be fooled!

Love.

When we are attracted to someone the first impulse we feel is love.

Quickly this becomes desire and an urge to union.

And this is in harmony with biology.

The blood that creates a male erection is pumped from the heart.

And so sexual desire is a secondary phenomenon.

The source and the power of sex is love.

AIDS.

Just as activities in the sky are not indications of God's favor or disfavor plagues and illnesses are not caused by God's punishment.

AIDS is caused by a virus as is COVID-19.

It is not punishment from God for sin.
