Gay And God.

When it comes to objections to homosexuality the most common reason given is religion.

Conservative religious people maintain that God disapproves of homosexuality.

Some try to mitigate criticism by saying that they do not condemn homosexual orientation but only its sexual expression.

This is a cop-out.

It tears gay people in two.

And it is tantamount to torture.

Many gay people have killed themselves as a result.

But God does not condemn homosexual expression.

I am living proof.

God loves me as I am.

Homophobia in Sports.

Gay players have come out in Gridiron, Soccer, and Rugby.

But no one has yet come out in the Australian Football League.

It can only be that the culture of homophobia is worse in the AFL than other codes.

The prominence of the gay community in Sydney could account for the more accepting attitude in the NRL.

But there is no reason why the AFL could not tackle homophobia in the other states.

Homophobia is destructive and self-defeating.

It has no place in sports that influence young and old alike.

On averages there could be up to 100 gay players in the AFL.

It is time for the league to act.

Weapons.

Hard-line right-wing Christians use the Bible as a weapon.

They use the violent passages of the Bible to threaten and attack their political enemies.

Ronald Reagan said: "Christianity contains unconventional weapons."

By this he meant: demonization of your political opponents, damnation of your enemies, guilt and fear, blaming and shaming, pointing the finger.....

And he used all of these weapons in his ideological war against the Left.

But God is non-violent.

He does not punish us.

God loves us.

And He understands our mistakes.

There are only two things in the world:

Love and Fear.

Whatever is not love is fear.

And God is Love.

Mass-Media.

When we watch television or listen to music we do not expect to be brainwashed or cursed.

But this is exactly what happens.

The right-wing media moguls who own our media use their influence to brainwash everyone.

Political bias and propaganda saturate our media.

And rock music has been taken over by Satanists who curse and sabotage us.

Subliminal images and messages betray our ideals and corrupt our morals.

So when you watch television or listen to music be aware that there are evil influences who will use these media to control you.

And pray to God to deliver you,

Sports.

The sporting leagues are run by right-wing business people in debt to corporations and media.

And clubs are riddled with players and administrators who have turned to evil.

They sell their souls and practise Satanic magic and black magic techniques.

In the hope of a magical goal or a glorious premiership.

  

They addict you to sports, turn you against the Church, make you selfish and nasty, and damn your soul.

This is death.

And they are in league with Satanists in rock music and entertainment.

So be warned.

We have been betrayed!

Generation X.

Generation X is Bad.

They are no Angels.

They are Pure Evil.

In their own words.

But they are justified by the Religious Right who bless them for their right-wing political views.

And because many X'ers have turned to the devil the Religious Right are in fact blessing Satan.

They have sold the Holy Spirit to the devil.

They turn a blind eye to their progenies' bad behavior and spiritual duplicity.

All for political advantage.

And remember that Ronald Reagan, their spiritual Godfather, was a politician not a priest.

He took advantage of reactionary elements to manufacture a political victory.

History will be their judge.

Vengeance.

If Ronald Reagan claimed to be an agent of God's Judgement then why were devil-worshippers his allies?

This would appear to be a purely political alliance with no specific spiritual character.

Devil-worshippers in Generation X conspired with the Religious Right to damn the Hippies and their gay allies for their left-wing political views.

AIDS became a scapegoat and Socialism became a dirty word.

Money became our god.

And idealism was denigrated.

But 40 years on the world is changing.

A new generation of politically aware young people has emerged.

Left-wing governments are being elected around the world.

Integrity and honesty are alive again.

It's Time!

It's time for change!

No longer can we deny climate change.

No longer can we worship the economy.

No longer can we blame gays and baby-boomers.

No longer can we wink at corruption.

No longer can we say bad is good.

A new world is rising!

A world where all people are equal.

A world where no one is left behind.

A world where money serves people not people money.

A world where religion lifts people up and does not put them down.

A world where we can live again!

Prophets.

The Prophets of the Bible are scathingly critical of God's priesthood.

Today we should be criticizing those religious leaders who enforce violent and hateful policies, who ignore the poor and needy, and who persecute immigrants and homosexuals.

And this is real.

Religious leaders oppose gun control, reject welfare and healthcare, enforce racist, homophobic, and misogynistic policies, threaten everyone, and justify hate and violence.

These things are not pleasing to God.  

And we should say so.

The Good Samaritan.

In church today we had the story of The Good Samaritan.

Our minister suggested that the man who helped could be an Aboriginal.

But he said we could substitute our own most unlikely person.

I would suggest that this could be a gay man.

Although the gay man is more likely to be the one beaten and bloodied beside the road.

We deal daily with racism and homophobia.

Fear and prejudice feed hatred and persecution.

Most ignore objections to this and some will even complain.

They walk by on the other side of the road.

But the fact remains - racism and homophobia are rife in our communities.

It is our job to point this out.

Thy Will Be Done.

When we pray:

"Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven".*

We are not referring to moral pedantry.

We are referring to love for one another.

A Red Heart.

The key to it all is the heart.

A red heart is the symbol of passionate love.

And as such it is the link between the body and God.

The prohibition of sex by the Church is a false doctrine.

God does not proscribe sex.

Sex is a manifestation of love.

And as such it is intimately connected with God.

Sex is Life!

Your red heart is the key.

So do not deny your red heart.

It links you with the God who is Love!

Millennials.

Contrary to the designation of the media the Millennials are those born around the Millennium - 1996 to 2010.

Generation Z (1984 to 1995) follows Generation X (1960 to 1970) and Generation Y (1971 to 1983).

This is the correct allocation of the generations.

Not what you are hearing in the media.

The Corruptions of Power.

What has happened in all the world's religions is that once the prophet has died the religious authorities become involved with the ruling elite and the message of unconditional love and forgiveness from God becomes corrupted by the temptations of power.

Thus punishment, judgement, and damnation reappear and the carrot and stick of heaven and hell are reasserted.

But every 2000 years God sends a new messenger to renew His message of unconditional love and forgiveness.

And so, if we can extract the essence of Jesus' teaching from the corruptions of power and fear, we can see the truth at last.
